This webinar will explore the community-driven vision behind a transformative 6-hectare park spanning the freeway approach to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. This project reimagines the historic Presidio, turning it into a national park site that is inclusive and welcoming to all.

Featured Speaker: Michael Boland
With over 30 years of experience in park development and stewardship, Michael Boland has been a pivotal figure in creating spaces that connect people with nature and history. As the former Chief Park Officer for the Presidio Trust, he played a key role in transforming the Presidio Army Base into a financially self-sufficient national park. His notable achievements include: Restoring natural and cultural landscapes like Crissy Field. Establishing national park experiences for urban youth and families. Leading the creation of the Presidio Tunnel Tops, a visionary addition to visitor infrastructure. Mr. Boland holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, a Master of Landscape Architecture, and a Master of City Planning, all from UC Berkeley. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
