This is not intended for IT professionals. Vulnerability to cybersecurity attacks is possible as hackers continuously change their tactics. This program aims to ensure public works professionals are better able to avoid, react to, and anticipate threats. The program will also provide a platform for knowledge-sharing, including sharing real-world incidents from public works professionals.
This programme will run from June 4-6, with one 2-hour session per day. This is a great opportunity for individuals to learn more about the basic cybersecurity principles related to public works/infrastructure, identify the various areas within public works/infrastructure that are vulnerable to cybersecurity attacks, and determine what types of policies and procedures can be used for preventing and responding to cybersecurity threats.
