This is a reminder that the IFME World Congress on Municipal Engineering is to be held in Rotorua, New Zealand over the period 7 to 11 June 2015. We will have a great range of technical sessions Monday to Wednesday and interesting technical site visits on the Thursday.

The conference is fully catered with evening functions on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings (including meal and entertainment), and breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Congress registrations are available on-line on the congress website. Go to www.ifme2015.com and click on the Registration tab.

The 2015 IFME World Congress on Municipal Engineering is to be held jointly with the IPWEA (Australasian) International Public Works Conference. So Australian and New Zealand IPWEA members are looking forward to hosting delegates from around the world.

Before or after the Congress you would be welcome to holiday in New Zealand. But also when travelling to New Zealand from Europe a stopover in Asia and/or Australia is possible. Then on the way home you could stopover in the USA or Canada. Air New Zealand (member of the Star Alliance) has flights direct from Auckland to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. They also fly to Hawaii and Rarotonga, so a stopover in one of those islands would be possible on the way to North America. In addition Air New Zealand has direct flights from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch to Rotorua. Alternatively, Rotorua is about 220km from Auckland airport and this trip would take about 3 hours by car.
